Ford Fiesta has gradually moved from a boring angular mid-80s vehicle to a fun sleek hatch and deservedly got the title of one of the company’s best sellers. What’s the secret of its success? Watch the video below.

In terms of exterior design, the Fiesta is a proper supermini, available in five- or three-door configuration, with a shape that appeals to many customers. It slightly varies, though, for example, if you choose a sportier ST trim. The interior speaks to the car’s low-priced category and mostly features a cheap-feeling plastic. The spacious cabin is not something the hatch can boast of, but it is fairly compensated by a wide boot and numerous storage compartments. Another flaw of the inner content is the outdated dash and infotainment system.

As for driving, the go-to choice will be 100bhp 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo V3. If you want to go speeding, a 1.6-litre petrol might suit as well. The shifting duties are on a 6-speed manual transmission, however it can be a bit naughty causing trouble with getting the car into reverse.

Ford Fiesta is steeped in history as a nice and reliable supermini. The 6th generation dates from 2008 and the obvious aging promoted the development of the next lineup which is expected in 2017.
